Do we really want to know?

I was feeling a little tense as I drew this page, for I am uncertain how the readers will take it. What does Yourki’s personal life got to do with the plot? Do we really want to know his habits at home? I know for some, this come as a very boring page; there isn’t even a conclusion to the page. What I was trying to convey, is not how relevant is this page to the central plot, I was trying to create a more 3-Dimensional feel to a character like Yoruki.

I think character development plays a huge role in engaging the readers’ interest, it is always good to know that the characters we read about share some characteristics like our own, that they are not always perfect or even super. This emotion attachment is what that will make readers feel touched, angered and sadden by when they read accounts experienced by the character. Of course, this does not always work, but more importantly, I knew that I gave this page a shot.

Yes, it’s a short rant today, for I feel so drained after finishing this page, gotta go lies down!

Oh yes, Star Wars Episode Three: The Revenge of the Sith opens on May 19th. You can’t miss it.
