Nani “Noni”

People had more or less gotten sick of my excuses for a late update, so I shall save on explaining myself. For those who have been wondering why is Saru-Ji always dressed in a robe, I hope this page will help you understand it better. Ha ha.

Now let’s talk about what we are so ever concerned about: HEALTH. Yes, I manage to read a latest article about the Hawaiian “noni”; a miracle fruit with amazing healing properties like many of the wonderous plants and fruits like Neem, Gingko Nuts and good ol’ oranges. “Noni” I must admit is like nothing I seen, and I am surprised that it can be eaten, let alone be consumed for its amazing qualities. The Hawaiian site promoting this fruit native to Hawaii says:

The Noni plant is a small evergreen tree that grows along Hawaii’s beaches and in forest areas up to 1,300 feet. It has been used for centuries by the Hawaiians to treat heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, and other degenerative ailments.

It has recently been brought back to popularity as new and exciting scientific findings have been released. Most recently, a federal grant was given to the University of Hawaii to study Noni as a possible cure for cancer.

Noni has many anti-aging and life extending properties. It is the world’s richest source of cellular rejuvenating enzymes-that fortify the immune system, regenerate your body’s cells and actually reverse the aging process!

We do not make any claims that Noni cures diseases or ailments; however, people taking Noni on a consistent basis have experienced remarkable recoveries from various medical conditions.

Noni grows throughout the South Pacific but Noni grown in Hawaii may be the purest and most potent variety in the world. Why? There is no pollution!

Many companies buy their fruit from French Polynesia because it’s less expensive. “Studies reveal that in the last 30 years over 200 powerful nuclear explosions have been detonated in that region. Massive nuclear testing has left Polynesia’s fragile and intricate ecosystem deeply and permanently scarred, toxic, dangerous and in many cases lethal.” This news came from medical researcher, E. Chamberland M.D., PhD. This is a world away from the environment of the Hana coast on Maui, where much of our Noni is grown and harvested.

NoniMaui is harvested and processed using the traditional Hawaiian methods. This insures “Grade A” 100% purity and potency. Much of the fruit offered by NoniMaui grows and is harvested from wild plants where no pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers have been used. They are the same plants that the Hawaiians planted long ago and used as medicine.

While I am fully convinced that it is a special fruit that will benefit human health, I am sceptical about the fruits ability to reverse aging process. For if it is so, I will certain get some for Saru-Ji… he needs it more than anyone else. I am an extremely pro-Nature sort of person, and I think the ‘noni’ is yet another more recent evidence of the wonders of Nature and the benefit it can yield to Mankind. I mean the only reason why people are destroying every single bit of forest is due to the belief that some plants like the ‘noni’ can give us some good…

However, even if it doesn’t do us ANY good, shouldn’t we just conserve Nature for the fact that our lives are nevertheless tied closely to it? Nature sneezes and the World catches a cold – the recent Tsunami incident is a sheer demonstration of what Nature is capable of. No, I am not promoting a “fear-and-trembling” principle, just that I love Nature, and I do not seek to find good stuff or returns out of my love for Nature; I don't need Neem or “noni” to remind me that I need Nature, the love, is purely out of passion.
