Shock Turns to Horror

The first reaction I expect the long-time readers of SKOOKUM! is that of
shock that eventually translates in horror! Oh My God! An Update! For my
enemies, they must be horrified indeed, but that’s another matter
altogether.
Yes, I had missed last week’s update, and I am fully aware of it. I know
I had said it plenty of times, but I don’t think it will hurt for me to
say it again. I DO have loads of work to do, and while I understand that
it is after all my duty to upload wholesome pages of SKOOKUM!, delays
are regrettably inevitable.
One of the participants of the forum was complaining to me about the
apparent substance-less storyline of SKOOKUM!. And I have to agree with
her/him, for till now, SKOOKUM! had really been nothing but an elaborate
joke about a boy’s daily bashing schedules. While it is my intention to
keep things light and silly, I have come to an awareness that I may be
over doing it. At the same time I too understand that I cannot please
everyone when it comes to matters of storyline. The person suggests that
I hire a writer for SKOOKUM!. Is that really necessary?
For now, the story has not progress to the point when the real pivot
begins. Moreover, SKOOKUM! is a work of spontaneity; and I want to keep
it that way – I am not into spending millions on hiring someone who is a
great writer to write a nice elaborate fantasy story for me. The ironic
thing is I am a student of English Literature, so, while I may not know
everything about writing, I am confident that I do know at least some of
it. Trust me, you won’t like it when I get intellectual on SKOOKUM!
w’Note had endured some of it, and he HATED it. So I trust the general
public would probably hate it as well.
Maybe I should just go philosophize some more on this. See you folks
next week.
