Home Matters!
My new semester had started, and yes, my fresh load of readings is
piling up, I am undoubtedly distracted for a while. I am running out of
things to say – which seldom happens, but this is gonna be a short one!
I have a sense that most of you are surprised to see a picture of a real
home inter-posed with the panels of the coloured web-manga. I was
initially hesitant about it, and I was not entirely sure it was a good
idea, but I went ahead with it anyway. I think the photo of a real home
does Yoruki’s home justice. If the page looks odd to you in any manner,
I apologise.
Quite a lot of things happened in this week before the start of the new
semester at NUS, firstly, my two American friends from UNC-CH, Nathan
and Andy had arrived in Singapore! It is now their turn to do their
Student Exchange Programmer here in Singapore! I can’t help but to laugh
at their reactions, at the number of shopping malls we have in
Singapore! Ok, it is quite a lot! And they cannot get over the voice
that booms out of the MRT trains speakers. Why is the announcer a
British Lady??? I can’t answer that one…
On the same day, I gave w’Note a treat over at Kuishinbo, as a gesture
to thank him for his efforts in helping me with the upload of SKOOKUM!
while I was away at UNC-CH. It so happens to be a mini celebration for
SKOOKUM!’s first anniversary. w’Note is giving a lot of help in helping
me out with the things needed for the anime/manga/cosplay convention to
be held later this year. We later had en equally great time at
The V Tea
Room. It’s was one of the kind experience! A purely European tea
experience! The service was great, and the décor… oh the décor… it was
simply European! I am sure w’Note felt both happy and threatened by The
V Tea Room’s exquisite tea, service and décor, but it is a learning
experience for him, which he can put into good use.
That’s it folks, do come back on Friday for more SKOOKUM!
