Sterility, Singapore, Christmas and Convention

The relationship between Yoruki and Miles is one of the entangled relationships which will take a while to be resolved. Hate him or Love him, Miles is a complex character; so don't be too quick to judge him. A new character will appear in two weeks time (if you don't know yet, it's New Year's Day), so PLEASE look out for the new updates coming your way in 2005.

In case any of you were wondering why was this week's update late again, I must say that I had been through quite a lot for the past one week or so. For a start, I left Chapel Hill, NC and returned to Singapore. I had always thought that by going to NC, I would learn to miss Singapore even more.... but somehow, it worked the other way round for me. I had began to develop a distaste for the sterility of Singapore. Singapore, is my home, but I can't help but to feel there's something so empty about it. Not to mention that the weather practically killed me...

I celebrated Christmas with my long time friends, w'Note and Zen. Since 2000, it is almost customary that we celebrate Christmas together. It was a cool celebration, at least for me as I spent the entire night telling them all about USA, Washington DC and Manhattan, New York. I had also told them my plans to visit Nagoya and Tokyo, Japan next year for my friends are there. If all goes well, Alwyn would be planning the Itinerary - but of course it is too early now for details of the trip to Japan.

The day after Christmas, all three of us actually got ourselves involved in the year's Anime, Doujin and Cosplay convention. I must admit that this is my first
time attending a Singaporean convention. I was never a great Cosplay fan, but I do enjoy seeing people cosplay, and I marvel at the tremendous amount of effort spent on making their costumes. Marvel is of course mixed with envy and respect. However, I was there more to support the Doujin artists. Ever since I read "Comic Party" the manga, my view of Doujin artists changed completely....

Another reason is that I plan to participate in next year's convention, with SKOOKUM! as the main featured work. I am currently in the planning stage with w'Note, who had been an great help in the administrative side of SKOOKUM! I give me my heartfelt thanks and look forward into participating next year's convention with him.
