Another New Start

September 24th is a special day to me since my high school days. It is the day when I began drawing my very first manga – C.O.M

Since that, I have hardly stopped, every reader who reads this page can testify that. SKOOKUM! had disappeared from the Internet for over two weeks now, and that is due to the sad fact that my previous host, had decided to pull out of the web-hosting business, and as you read, SKOOKUM! is currently hosted by its new host Uniqva. Incidentally, the director of Uniqva was also from PHS. It’s hard for me to say this, but sometimes, some things never change.

One of the reader in SKOOKUM!’s untimely absence, e-mailed me asking me if I have decided to put an end to SKOOKUM!’s run, he wrote me telling me if my answer was yes, he will thank me for bringing the work into the world. That was the most moving mail I had read since the mails that came in consoling me for my Dad’s passing. Sorry to disappoint all those who had been wishing the fall of SKOOKUM!, for SKOOKUM! has returned and in a new colour too. Hateful are those who pretend to offer advice to aspiring web-comic artists and gives false encouragements when they are cruel to the very person in need of their help. They ride high and mighty, though every movement thick with pretence, but there will come a time when they will choke on their own moral degradation, and jokes about “freshman”, “freshmeat” and “freshmilk” just does not seem funny anymore.

I was a little tired of the black colour and I felt a new start under a new host should herald a fresh coat of colours. SKOOKUM! will go on, and it will detail all the adventures of Yoruki from present to his eventual graduation from high school.

In a more cheerful note, a forum had been put in place and readers can access it here. Special thanks to w’Note for his help in enabling the transfer between domains so smooth, thanks to Nick for hosting SKOOKUM! And to all the readers, THANK YOU. Finally, I dedicate SKOOKUM! to my Dad, there had never been a day that I had stopped thinking about you. I love you Dad. I always will.
